Na na na na na… my heart is in Havana <3
I simply fell in love with this city. It’s completely different from all the places I have visited before. I was really overwhelmed by its beauty but also by its history. The city has like two sites: the cool site with its colorful streets and the Cuban flair, but also the poor neighborhoods with the super old gorgeous buildings. I really couldn’t handle my feelings after a long day visiting all the precious streets in Havana. I was so impressed by all the old architecture that hasn’t been renovated in decades and yet all these people are still living there. Most of the people don’t have much money – but everyone seemed to be happy. Kids were playing with the most simple things in the streets – they had fun. In the street where we had rented through AirBnB our room, there were people dancing and singing, enjoying life.
All people there seem to appreciate life and be happy with what they have, they don’t need much – they reminded me to stop being always so picky and simply enjoy life. Cuba was a great time and I will always remember this trip as one of the best with the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
If you haven’t been to Cuba yet, I can really recommend visiting! It’s a long trip, especially if you also want to go to a less touristic place and relax at the beach (we had to take a bus from Havana that drove us 6 hours to our beach resort – but it was so worth it! <3)
